Abol is a word commonly used in the Ethiopian coffee ceremony process, it means the first brewed batch. The second batch is TONA and the third batch is called BEREKA.

The Abol is very bold and has the best aroma from the pot. Just like our shop our mission is bold and that is having authentic organic Ethiopian coffee, healthy Ethiopian cafe faire, providing a unique cultural experience with the Ethiopian coffee ceremony called “Buna” as it is done on the buzzing streets of Addis Ababa in Ethiopia .

Abol Coffee & Eatery (a.k.a. Abol Cafe) is a specialty coffee, tea and espresso shop with a lot of breakfast. brunch and lunch options. We serve coffee ceremony, coffee pop-ups and food pop-ups and food catering options. Abol’s Ethio Vegan Platter is a getting a lot of traction by a lot of guest and visitors of our shop., 

Abol is located in Louisville, Kentucky is near by to Seneca Park, St. Matthews Mall, Bowman Field Airport, Crescent Hill Water Reservoir, Interstate-64 EXIT 10 (Cannons Lane Exit), the Intersection of Frankfort Ave & Cannons Ln.

Ethiopia is the birthplace of COFFEE and coffee has a root culture and ceremony in Ethiopia. Ethiopia is the most caffeinated country in Africa. Ethiopian coffees are the best in the world with zero or minimal acidity level.
